"The Valley" by ZeLIG graduates receives an important Award at Hot Docs

The Valley, feature length documentary realised by ZeLIG graduate Nuno Escudeiro, with a team of mainly ZeLIG graduates (above all Nikolaus von Schlebrügge as DOP and Beatrice Segolini as Editor), received the Emerging International Filmmaker Award at the recent edition of the Hot Docs International Documentary Film Festival, which took place in Toronto, Canada, few days ago.

The Valley portrays a group of people, who, at the border between France and Italy, is helping asylum seekers to cross safely the border, providing them with shelter, food and legal counselling. The film has received many positive media reviews, among them the one from POV - Point of View Magazine, and will be soon broadcasted by Arte (14. May) and start a French Tour.
