"The Valley", directed by our former student Nuno Escudeiro and which has as main crew our former students Nikolaus von Schlebrügge (photography) and Beatrice Segolini (editing), will celebrate its World Premiere in the International Competition at the Hot Docs, on April, 28. Two more screenings are foreseen for April, 29. and May, 4.
The film depicts the battle of a group of French citizens who, at the border with Italy, are providing shelter, food and legal counselling to undocumented migrants who cross the border between Italy and France in extreme hard conditions.
"La Hermanas de Rocinante", directed by our graduate Alexandra Kaufmann and where many other ZeLIG former students participated (Bastian Esser and Livia Romano as directors of photography, Ylenia Busolli as editor), will celebrate its World Premiere in the International Competition of DOK.fest Munich, on May, 12. Other screenings will be on May, 14., 17. and 19. The film is nominated also for the photography Award ARRI AMIRA and for the FFF-Förderpreis.
"La Hermanas de Rocinante" is a film about a small Spanish farm, where two children are helping the owner in his care of abandoned horses.
The didactic tutor of the school Emanuele Vernillo will be present from Thursday 9 till Saturday 11, while Heidi Gronauer - ZeLIG director - will be present on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14. ZeLIG will be present also with the film "Dusk Chorus - based on Fragments of Extinction", which will compete for the Student Award and will be presented on Friday 10. May at 20.00h at HFF1 and on Wednesday 15. May at 16.00h at HFF1.
