"Already demonstrating remarkable narrative construction and management skills, the young director, supported by a female team of great sensitivity, outlines a story of marginality that evolves into a heartfelt elegy of memory and caregiving. Implictly woven into the narrative is a reflection on the right to inhabit, portrayed with an original style that cleverly exploits the rhythms of editing": this is the wonderful jury motivation with which STANZE, short film realised during the first year of studies by Simona Palmieri, Esther Kreiner and Elisa Cabbai, received the Special Mention from the jury of the CinemAMoRE award at the recentest edition of the Trento Film Festival.
Nuno Escudeiro, ZeLIG graduate, received instead the Anthropocene Award with his recent film "DEATH OF A MOUNTAIN", for his capacity of "blending archival footage with contemporary scenes, crafting a narrative that blurs the lines between reality and metaphor, revealing the protagonist's disillusionment with the mountain."
