ZeLIG Films touring Festivals

"Hidden Photos", "Vergot" and "Dusk Chorus - based on Fragments of Extinction” on tour in different film festivals in August.

Dusk Chorus - based on Fragments of Extinction by Nika Šaravanja, Alessando D’Emilia and Otis Buri, is part of the official program of the International Documentary and Short Film Festival “DokuFest in Prizren, Kosovo, which takes place between 4. and 12. August. It will be screened in the “Green Dox” Competition.
DokuFest as quoted from its website, “is the largest film festival in Kosovo. Each year the festival fills the cinemas and improvised screening venues around historic city center of Prizren with a selection of more than 200 hand picked films from around the world.”

Vergot, by Cecilia Bozza Wolf, Pierpaolo Filomeno and Alex Grassi, will compete for the Award as Best Film in the “Student Dox” Competition at the upcoming edition of the International Creative Documentary Film Festival “MakeDox, in Macedonia, running from 19. to 25. August. MakeDox is a young film festival, born in 2010, celebrating creative documentaries and filled up with workshops, live performances and doc-talks.

Hidden Photos and Vergot will both compete for the “Jean Loup Passek Award” at the upcoming edition of “Filmes do Homem - Melgaço International Documentary Festival”, which takes place in Melgaço, Portugal (1. - 6. August). The festival promotes social and ethnographic cinema, proposing films about identity, memory and border. Apart from the film competition, Filmes do Homem offers a workshop about research and creative practices in the Social Sciences, Arts and Communication Sciences, around the theme Cinema, narratives, places of memory, and also, during each edition, a cinematic residency which produces documentaries about the region.

Vergot and Dusk Chorus - based on Fragments of Extinction will also be screened at the International Mountain Film Festival “Cervino Cinemountain, in the main competition. The festival takes place in the Italian region Valle d’Aosta, under the Cervino Mountain, from 5. to 14. August.
