During the masterclass, Andreas Pichler will discuss the film’s origins and how it evolved over the years—shaped both by events on location and by the production process as a whole.
On Tuesday, March 25, at 9:30 AM, ZeLIG will host a masterclass with Yaël Bitton, a Paris-based film editor, focusing on the editing of KIX, a documentary by Hungarian filmmakers Bálint Révész and Dávid Mikulán. The film, shot over a period of 12 years, follows the life of a young boy growing up in Budapest. TTo fully appreciate the masterclass, KIX will be screened the evening before—on Monday, March 24, at 8:00 PM at Filmclub Bolzano, as the final event of this edition of DOC DAY, the series organized by FAS. The following morning, participants will have the opportunity to explore the film’s structure and the challenges of editing such a complex project, guided by the expertise of an award-winning editor.
Both events are open to the public and free of charge.
